Pray for John Bishop
Many of you already know and love our dear friend John Bishop. For those of you who do not know him, he is a Naval Academy Grad '65, has been a good friend of my family's for many years and a little over a year ago became my boss. Over that time, Adam & I have gotten to know him well and he is one of the most generous, thoughtful, gifted and God-loving men around. Besides a passion for God & people, he is passionate about motorcycles, namely everything Harley Davidson. He began a journey to New York on his bike yesterday and this morning we received word that he was in a serious accident. Fortunately, he was wearing a helmet and has not sustained any injury to his head. He did however break his left shoulder, atleast 3 ribs, and will be going into surgery shortly so doctors can determine the extent of his internal injuries. Would you please be praying for him in these next few hours and days as he begins the healing process? He was just air lifted to a hospital in Pennsylvania and so his family is driving up to be with him. Please pray for them as well. I will try to give any major updates as I hear them from the family, but mostly we just ask that you keep John in your thoughts and prayers. We are already praising the Lord for providing the protection to his head and good doctors and care thus far.
