It is with heavy hearts that we share with you that our good friend, Mitchell Alan Thomas, passed away today at the young age of 28. Mitch has been battling leukemia since May 2007 and, in the process, has taught many of us what it really looks like to "Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in
ALL circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Words really do fail at moments like this in life, but we find great comfort in knowing that God is
Emmanuel -
He is with us - and what a thought that Mitch is now with Him! Please keep The Thomas family in your prayers as well as Mitch's wife, Chelsea. They have been incredibly strong and consistent in praising the Lord for what He has done and also humbly asking for continued miracles. Even as we all grieve the loss of our dear brother Mitch, in an email today they have reminded us that "he has graduated to the throne of God... God's glory has always been the goal and Mitch is now reaping the reward of more than 20 years of fruitful service - TO GOD BE THE GLORY!"
