In hopes of doing a better job in April of updating my blog than I did in March, voila! -- another Easter post! We had a great day and have many friends & family to thank for creating the fun & preparing the meal. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL outside these days and so it's fun to be able to get out and run around. Adam had a huge test Monday, so was tied up with studying all weekend. We were able to go to church together that morning, so that was a fun family event. We both at one point looked at each other and confessed we wished we had nothing else to do but to lounge outside or go rent a movie and just watch it together! Gone are our days of leisure I believe. But, even in the busy times, we know there is a lot to be grateful for and we can appreciate those little pockets of blessed moments all the more.
Not sure everyone knows this, by the way, but Adam had surgery on his torn ACL & meniscus about 2 weeks ago. It's been a much more intense road of recovery than either of us imagined, but he's finally making some steps in the right direction. As of last week, he's able to drive again. Granted, he drives with a brace on, his right leg straight and on the gas pedal, and his left leg on the brake ~ so watch out for him on the roads! As of Friday, he's off his crutches and had his brace adjusted as after almost 2 weeks had found out his brace was way too tight, hence causing more pain & swelling & delaying his recovery. So! We're getting there and I admire his patience and determination in the midst of this hardship. He's still going to work & school -- and after a week of driving him back and forth, I have a much greater appreciation for the intensity of his work/school days & the driving demand!! Keep him in your prayers as he has very limited range of motion of his leg and is in some pain still.
So, there's our brief update! Hopefully more to come....
My cuz Belen & I... pregnant again and due within about a week of each other! It is very possible our baby #2's could be Bday Buddies as well... how amazing that would be!!

She seems to be watching & close behind her at all times =)

'Fairy' Godmother Anna stopped by and Anabelle was happy to see her!

Getting kisses is fun!

Being chased is even more fun!

And to wind down... a leisurely ride

And this is one of those "pockets of blessed moments" I was referring to earlier... Rarely does AB let Adam cuddle her quietly, but alas, see below... Happy Easter Daddy!
And today we had the joy of having cousin Ben hang with us for some of the afternoon. He and Anabelle had SO MUCH fun together -- it was a hoot to watch. They just giggled and smiled and played! Here is a succession of pics from their lunchtime...
Anabelle making faces behind Ben's back!
Then playing innocent...what?? =)
Smiles
Whatever Ben would do, AB would follow.... peekaboo!
And now, let's drink from our sippy cups!
