Freedom & Kung Fu

First and foremost, Adam is FREEEEE! (insert Mel Gibson's "Freeedommmm!!!" from Braveheart here - thanks John) After 2 years of classes & studying, 65 hrs. of volunteer work, and numerous hours of sacrificed sleep & time away from family & friends, he took the DAT (dental admissions test) this past Friday. He took the whole week off of work to focus, buckle down and study. So thrilled to report all the sacrifice & hard work paid off and he received a 21/22 on the test, placing him in the 93rd percentile and giving him a very good chance at getting accepted to at least a few of the 20 schools he'll be applying to (we should hear back by December.) We know the Lord is able to guide us and work things out for our good apart from grades and other 'logistical' things of this world, but it certainly was still encouraging for Adam to see a tangible confirmation that the Lord is blessing his efforts on this journey!

His theme verse these past few months has been Proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path." What a great promise for us all ~ especially in the midst of events that seem to rely on our own ability & 'understanding'!

Meanwhile, the kids & I left him in peace by joining my extended family in Myrtle Beach, SC for our annual vacay. I'll have to post pics from our 10 day trip to Seattle for my cousin Jenny's wedding & our SC beach vacation later as I'm enjoying TIME with my HUSBAND now, oh the joys!!
